NPI Project Engineer

Based at: Head Office, Bourton-on-the-Water
Full time: Permanent

The key purpose of this role is to support NPIs and to co-ordinate Process Validation duties whilst ensuring the Engineering Department maintains compliance with FDA and Medical Device Directive guidelines.  Applicants should possess a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant Physical Science, have solid CAD skills and excellent Microsoft Office skills.  The successful applicant should be a team player, with good communication and problem solving skills.

This position would suit a Graduate with one year’s experience, mentoring and/or training will be provided.

Warehouse Assistant

Based at: Head Office, Bourton-on-the-Water

One year full–time fixed-term contract

Salary: £8.00 per hour.

Working with a small team, the main responsibilities of this role include ensuring that the warehouse is maintained in pristine condition, product is clearly segregated and identified at all times and pick room stocks are regularly replenished. The Warehouse Assistant will be expected to provide support in routine operations and material movement for both Summit Medical’s warehouse and storage facilities. No previous experience is required as full training will be given.  Full, clean driving licence preferred.

Regulatory Affairs Associate

Based at: Head Office, Bourton-on-the-Water

Reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Manager the post holder will be responsible for providing support to all functions within the Regulatory Affairs Team.  Duties will include managing and maintaining the document control process, maintaining records and libraries, support and input into NC/CAPAs and supporting internal quality audits.

Applicants will need to have experience of working in an administrative role within a regulated industry and have excellent working knowledge of Outlook, Word and Excel.  Excellent attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the company are a must for this role.

Project Manager

Based at: Head Office, Bourton on the Water

Reporting to the Head of R&D, the post holder will be responsible for;

  • Management of NPD/NPI projects carried out by the R&D department
  • Ensuring regulatory and QMS compliance throughout the product development process
  • Management of NPD/NPI projects from concept to launch
  • Planning and co-ordination of workload and available resources to meet business goals
  • Creation and tracking of project plans
  • Tracking and forecasting project expenditure

Education: PhD, BSc, HND, HNC or equivalent in a medical, scientific or engineering discipline.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in a private sector role involving the manufacture of medical devices within a QMS (ISO 13485 and 21 CFR) environment.

An excellent grounding in MDD (MDR) and a good understanding of regulatory requirements is highly desirable.

A highly organised detailed planner with excellent communication skills. A completer-finisher with an analytical approach and problem solving abilities.

Project Engineer

Reporting to the Project Manager, the post holder will be responsible for;

Day to day management of NPI projects. Ensuring continued regulatory clearance of the existing product portfolio.

  • The management of new product development projects from concept to launch.
  • Maintaining and developing the department’s part of the QMS
  • Management of assigned Changes within the Company’s Change Management system

Education:  PhD, BSc, HND, HNC or equivalent in a medical, mechanical or other relevant engineering discipline.

Possessing a sound engineering knowledge and understanding of manufacturing within the requirements of the medical regulatory framework.

Conversant with MS Office including Access, MS Project or equivalent and Solidworks or other CAD.

Excellent organisational, analytical and communication skills are essential.

Design Engineer x 2

Based at: Head Office, Bourton on the Water

Reporting to the Head of R&D, the post holders will be responsible for;

Supporting the R&D department in developing high quality, innovative medical devices which recognise and meet our customers’ requirements, and are in compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements.

Working with the Marketing department to detail a clear Design Brief.

Provide concept designs and attend brainstorming sessions with the team.

Consider Design for Manufacture from the outset, working closely with suppliers, quality and production functions to ensure a robust Product Design is delivered.

Provide fully detailed production ready CAD files and drawings for injection molded and precision machined components.

Education:  PhD, BSc, HND, HNC or equivalent in a medical, mechanical or other relevant engineering discipline.

Possessing a sound engineering knowledge and understanding of manufacturing within the requirements of the medical regulatory framework.

Conversant with MS Office including Access, MS Project or equivalent and Solidworks or other CAD.

Assembly Assistant

Based at: Head Office, Bourton-on-the-Water
Salary: £8.00 per hour, full time/part time/temporary and permanent positions often available
