Assembly Assistant

Based at: Head Office, Bourton-on-the-Water
Salary: £8.00 per hour, full time/part time/temporary and permanent positions often available

Working as part of a friendly team within the Summit Medical cleanroom, the key purpose of this role is to assemble high quality medical devices the company manufacture. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy in their work, recognise the need for product quality and attain high levels of manufacturing efficiency. Project Engineer

Summit Medical Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer to assist in the management of NPI projects, and ensuring continued regulatory clearance of our growing product portfolio.  We can offer an industry-leading salary and benefits package, a flexible and dynamic working environment and a clear route to progress within the company. The role will see you delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the agreed quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:

  • The management of new product development projects from concept to launch.
    • Planning and co-ordination of workload and resources to meet business goals.
    • Tracking and reporting project progress and plans.
    • Tracking and forecasting project expenditure.
    • Liaison with other staff.
    • Liaison with customers and suppliers.
    • Ensuring appropriate project documentation is prepared and approved as required by the QMS.
  • Maintaining and developing the department’s part of the QMS
    • Regularly reviewing the documents and data that support our existing portfolio of products against current requirements.
      Where gaps are identified, taking action to get the gaps closed.
    • Regularly reviewing the Procedures, SOPs and Documents that are owned by or followed by the Department against current Regulatory and Company requirements. Where gaps are identified, taking action to get the gaps closed.
    • Managing CAPA as assigned.
  • Education: PhD, BSc, HND, HNC or equivalent in a medical, mechanical or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • Computer skills: Conversant with MS Office including Access, MS Project or equivalent and Solidworks or other CAD.
