VANCOGENX was the first bone cement to be CE marked containing a combination of gentamicin and vancomycin. The synergistic behaviour of the two antibiotics makes this cement the best option for challenging orthopaedic infections. VANCOGENX uses special preparations and controlled processes to ensure an even distribution of fine antibiotics resulting in bone cement with optimum strength and elution characteristics [2, 3].
